Matting & Pickling
Perfect surface structure for technical processes & workpieces with visually demanding surfaces
Roughening is important as an adhesion primer for paints and coatings. For visually demanding workpieces, matting creates structures on the glossy surface.
Matting & Pickling
When pickling metals, the surface is cleaned by acids or alkalis to obtain an oxide-free metallic clean surface.

Pickling & Descaling
Contaminated surfaces are cleaned without leaving residues, e.g. after hardening or removal of welding residues on visible metal; brightening of tarnished copper or silverware.
In the process of descaling, e.g. of steels, residues, the so-called "scale", are removed after the material has been hardened. Pickling is the process of optically brightening oxidized metal surfaces. Depending on the material and requirements, organic and inorganic acids are used for this purpose, for example in centrifugal plants or simply by dipping.
